While there was no budget for wholesale removal of the carpet tiles, a sum was included to provide an area of Amtico style wood plank flooring to the entrance area for new sofas to form a visitor waiting area.

In order to maximise a feeling of light into the space, IRS installed floor to ceiling glass partitions, decorated with a very simple manifestation design. Privacy was created by installing sound baffles within the ceiling void above the solid and glazed partitions.

The landlord had not insisted on the outgoing tenant redecorating the space, so IRS repainted the office, including a feature wall in one of the client’s corporate colours.

As the client was a tenant already occupying office space, IRS only needed to connect the new offices into the existing telephone and computer network to provide access for the staff.
