St James Square is populated with London plane trees and so we developed a theme to draw the square into the offices, which resulted in the new furniture being constructed from lacewood veneer. A very strong pattern in the timber allowed us incorporate a similar theme into the new carpets.

The challenge was in drawing the room together with the window coverings, which was achieved with a striking drape, complemented by simple cream roller blinds.

The manufacturer was also able to construct a bespoke facing to sit around the plasma screen to match the rest of the furniture.

With such strong colours, a simple chocolate soft leather was chosen to cover the meeting room seats and complement the walnut in-lays.
